no, i can’t and won’t shut up about the fact that obi-wan literally gave up decades of his own life for anakin and luke afterwards, even after anakin betrayed him and literally killed his family.  even after that, obi-wan decided to go to the desert to look after anakin’s family.

he could’ve gone to the rebellion and fought against the empire.  he could’ve gone into hiding somewhere else where no one would ever find him again.  he could’ve done literally anything he wanted.

but in memory of the Jedi and the boy that he raised, obi-wan decided to go to Tatooine to protect the future of the Jedi.

and that—after everything he’d lost up until that point—is incredible.
